55 Companies Honored with Super brand Status UAE

At least fifty five out of 1,500 leading brands in the UAE have been declared ‘super brands’ by an independent body that acknowledges and rewards companies for following the highest standards of branding.

The brands, many of them are home grown and also include internationally recognized names in different industries, from banking and finance to manufacturing, hospitality, fashion and electronics, have been reviewed by 2,500 senior managers and marketing professionals in the country. Out of the 1,500 applications received by the Brand Council, only 55 made it to the cut by scoring more than 80 per cent of the total possible mark. They were honored during a ceremony in Dubai recently and are now featured in a coffee table book, which will serve as a reminder of what brand names resonate well with consumers in the UAE. Eros Group has been designated Brand of the Year for 2015 by Super brands.
The Brand has, over the years, become a part of every home and its commitment towards customers, suppliers, employees and society is commendable. Eros Group scored the highest points amongst all the brands Eros Groups, Achieving their goal of becoming number one in marketing, distribution and retailing of consumer electronics, home appliances, telecom, IT and engineering goods and services by 2016.”Since its inception in 1967 with a small store distributing Hitachi, Eros Group today represents over fourteen global brands, operates thirty-three retail stores and has eight service centers in the UAE. Recent studies have shown that Eros Group distributes 50% of all televisions sold in the UAE; 50% of all smart phones sold in the UAE; 33% of all vacuum cleaners sold in the UAE; 25% of all premium refrigerators sold in the UAE; 25% of all air purifiers sold in the UAE and 20% of all routers sold in the UAE, distributing over 4,000 SKUs a year. This year Eros Group joined in Dubai Municipality’s Car Free Day where the Group’s management and employees left their cars at home and took to public transport.

Eros and the other 54 brands who won the accolade are considered trusted names in the local marketplace that make their customers feel comfortable and actually deliver what they promise. In its 11th edition, the Super brands tribute event is considered the ‘Oscars of Branding’ by the corporate world.
